How to Make Gluten Free Hamburger Buns

Things You'll Need:

  • Gluten free bread dough
  • 12 tuna fish cans, rinsed carefully or a hamburger bun baking dish
  • Cooking oil spray
  • Butter or butter substitute


Step 1: Spray the tuna fish cans or the hamburger baking pan with cooking spray.
 
Step 2: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
 
Step 3: Take any standard gluten free dough from a bread recipe or bread mix and place it in the tuna fish cans or hamburger bun pan, filling them halfway.
 
Step 4: Get a spatula and run it under water. Use this to smooth the tops of the the dough in the cans or tin.
 
Step 5: Let the dough rise for 15 minutes.
 
Step 6: Place the cans or the hamburger bun baking pan in the oven and bake for 30 minutes.
 
Step 7: After 30 minutes, brush the tops of the buns with melted butter or butter substitute.
 
Step 8: Return the buns to the oven for 15 additional minutes.
 
Step 9: Remove the buns from the oven and let them cool completely before removing them from the cans or the baking pan.
 
Step 10: Place the buns in a large zippered bag overnight.
 
Step 11: Cut the buns in half and use as needed.
