How to Make Easy Sausage Rolls

Things You'll Need:

  • 1 pkg ground pork sausage (Jimmy Dean or Bob Evans)
  • 2 cans crescent rolls (or 2 crescent sheets - these work better)
Spread the crescent dough on a rolling sheet

These sausage rolls are a hit whenever we put them out at breakfast, brunches, or as an appetizer at parties. The first step to make them is to preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Spread out 1 can crescent rolls- pinch the seams together or use the crescent sheets that are already one big rectangle of dough.

The next step is to cut the sausage roll in half. Spread the half roll of sausage out across one crescent roll sheet as shown.

The next step is to roll the dough with sausage up like a log. Roll the wide side, not the narrow side, as shown in the photo.

You should get 20 to 22 slices per sheet.

Slice the log into 1/4" slices and arrange on a cookie sheet. You can squeeze any extras on the sheet, they don't spread out too much.
Bake the sausage roll slices on a cookie sheet for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown. Keep an eye on them, they cook pretty fast.

Let cool for a minute and slide onto a serving tray. Serve while hot or re-warm the rolls in the microwave. Use the other sausage half and crescent roll can to make another batch. Total servings for the one package of sausage is about 44 sausage rolls.
