How To Make Flavoured Crepes

Step 1: You will need

  • 200 g flour
  • 2 eggs
  • 260 ml milk
  • 100 ml water
  • 25 g butter, melted
  • 1 pinch of salt
  • 1 tbsp chives, chopped
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp dill, chopped
  • ½ tbsp paprika
  • ½ tsp curry
  • ½ tsp turmeric
  • 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 large bowl
  • 1 whisk
  • 4 small bowls
  • 4 spoons
  • 1 spatula
  • cling film
  • 1 frying pan
  • 1 tray
  • aluminium foil

  1. Step 2: Add the eggs.

Begin by adding the 4 eggs into the bowl.
  2. Step 3: Add the remaining ingredients and whisk.

Continue by adding the milk and the melted butter. Season well with salt and whisk all of the ingredients together. Once all of the ingredients have combined, add the flour and continue to whisk until the mixture is lump-free.
  3. Step 4: Cover and allow to chill.

Using the cling film, cover the bowl and place in the fridge to chill for 1 hour.
  4. Step 5: Ladle mixture into the small bowls.

Place the 4 small bowls onto a surface and ladle the mixture evenly into each of them.
  5. Step 6: Make the flavoured crêpes.

To make the chive crêpes, sprinkle the chives into 1 of the bowls and add sesame oil. Do the same to make the dill, paprika and turmeric crêpes. Ensure that you mix well after each time that you add the sesame oil.
  6. Step 7: Cook the flavoured crêpes.

Add the frying pan to a medium heat and add a small amount of oil. Add 1 to 1½ tablespoons of chive batter and, using the back of a spoon, spread the batter to make a circle. Cook until brown and flip. Repeat the process with all of the flavours.
  7. Step 8: Store or serve.

If you wish to store the crêpes, cover with aluminium foil. If you wish to serve them, do so at room temperature and eat with a filling of your choice. Delicious as a midday snack or as a tempting appetiser!
